In 2001, several UK- and Ireland-based behavior analysts developed the ABA Lecturer’s Co-Operative to provide training in applied behavior analysis for classroom teachers of children with autism. The first non-university course to teach ABA in accordance with the educational coursework and supervisory requirement of the BACB® in the UK was formally commenced in the spring of 2001. This course does not, however, result in a university graduate degree. The 2002 International Development Grant will help fund the development of the first postgraduate program in applied behavior analysis in the United Kingdom that will satisfy the education coursework requirements of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board®. As well as providing university postgraduate qualifications.
