Affiliated Chapters
Affiliated chapters are membership organizations associated with ABAI through their interest in the dissemination and growth of behavior analysis. They are defined by a geographical boundary—for instance, a state, a region, or a country. ABAI maintains a mutually beneficial relationship with 81 affiliated chapters in Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America. These chapters often hold conferences, sponsor lectures, and offer continuing education opportunities. Reduced ABAI membership and convention fees are available to members of affiliated chapters.
The growth of behavior analysis can be measured by the growth of affiliated chapters. ABAI affiliated chapters report having more than 17,000 members—more than 7,700 in the United States and more than 9,500 outside the United States. Membership in ABAI affiliated chapters has averaged 6.9% annual growth over the past 10 years.
