Mission/Objectives
- The OBM Network, founded in 1982, exists in order to develop, enhance, and support the growth and vitality of Organizational Behavior Management through Research, Education, Practice, Collaboration. See our strategic goals matrix at http://www.obmnetwork.com/aboutus/plan/.
Description of Membership
Academicians, students, practitioners, managers, and executives. In 2006 we had approximately 253 members (up from 214 in 2005).
Recurring Events
A convention is held every other year in January of odd numbered years. Upcoming conventions will occur in 2009 in Melbourne, FL.
Publications/Newsletters
The OBM Network News (published three times annually) and the Journal of Organizational Behavior Management (published four times annually). Both are available as member benefits, when members join. Past newsletters can be accessed viw http://www.obmnetwork.com/resources/newsletter/.
Specifically of Interest to Behavior Analysts
Our goal is to disseminate the application of behavior analysis in organizations. We publish articles, presentations, success stories, and implementation tips. We currently have articles in four languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, and German). We seek additional materials to post on the Web site, and we seek OBM liaisons to connect OBM and other areas of behavior analysis, such as education and human services.
