Fellows Program

The purpose of the ABAI Fellows designation is to recognize the most outstanding contributors to behavior analysis in one or more of the primary areas of (a) research and scholarship, (b) professional practice, or (c) teaching/administration/service or any combination of (a), (b), and (c). Potential members are nominated by current Fellows of ABAI, and nominations will be accepted only for Full members of ABAI who have a clearly documented record of sustained and excellent contributions in any of these three primary areas. An aggregate of contributions across areas may also make an individual eligible.

Nominations Procedure

Current Fellows of ABAI nominate new candidates—one nominee per Fellow per year, by logging in to their ABAI portal and selecting the service "Fellows Nominations." The nominator solicits the permission of the nominee, the nominee's curiculum vita, and a second letter of support from another Fellow prior to completing the on-line nomination form. Fellows Committee members can neither nominate nor write supporting letters for candidates.

In order for nominations to be considered, they must specify the primary area and outline the evidentiary basis for the nomination in terms of the criteria in the primary area.

Only complete sets of information will be reviewed by the Fellows Committee.
