Mission/Objectives

The main activities of the Polish Association of Behavioral Therapy (PABT), as set out by the statute, include: to provide professional support and assistance to the handicapped and their families suffering from emotional and intellectual dysfunctions, and to initiate and carry out all kinds of activities necessary for the improvement of the health of the handicapped and their adaptation into society; to provide trainings, publications, seminars, and conferences aimed at dissemination of knowledge on ideas and rules of behavioral therapy; to encourage society at large to act for the sake of the handicapped and develop the mutual aid movements of people connected with them by supporting, for example, social initiatives aimed at the improvement of the conditions of life of the handicapped; and to provide professional assistance and coaching to therapists, teachers, parents, and other people working for the sake of the handicapped.

Description of Membership

The Polish Association of Behavioral Therapy consists of therapists who put behavioral therapy in practice and family members of the handicapped suffering from emotional and intellectual dysfunctions.

Journals/Publications

We publish a periodical Krok za krokiem (Step by Step), which includes articles from, among others, world known specialists in the field of education of persons with autism.

Specifically of Interest to Behavior Analysts

Our mission is to provide professional support and assistance to the handicapped suffering from emotional and intellectual dysfunctions as well as to their families.
