Mission/Objectives

The Oregon Association for Behavior Analysis (OR-ABA) is an organization for professionals, parents, caregivers, educators, researchers, and others who are interested in promoting the field of behavior analysis within the community. The association plans on fulfilling this purpose by the following:

Description of Membership

OR-ABA shall consist of two groups of members: Full members and Affiliate members. Members of both groups are entitled to the rights and privileges of OR-ABA as appropriate for their membership category. Membership is one calendar year from January 1 to December 31. A Full member is any individual holding at least a bachelor's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, education, or a related field with training or professional experience in behavior analysis and whose interests include teaching, research, and/or the practice of behavior analysis.

Affiliate members are students, direct care staff, parents, or consumers. Affiliate members will enjoy all the benefits of voting membership, except for the right to vote on matters of interest to the organization and the right to hold office. Student member status shall be granted to individuals who apply for membership in OR-ABA and are enrolled in an academic degree program, internship, or resident program relevant to a career in behavior analysis. Applications for student member status must be accompanied by proof of enrollment in an academic degree program, internship, or residency program. Student members shall have the right to vote only for a student representative to the board of directors.

Annual or Recurring Events

Quarterly association meetings, monthly board meetings, and an annual convention in the fall.

Specifically of Interest to Behavior Analysts

The chapter is focused on strongly establishing a foundation for behavior analysts practicing in the state and creating a place to network with other families, professionals, and others.
