Mission Statement
The mission of the IL-ABA chapter is to promote the scientist-practitioner model of behavior analysis throughout the state of Illinois. Our objectives are to:
- Ensure scientific representation of the field of behavior analysis across the state of Illinois.
- Serve as an information source and voice for practicing behavior analysts throughout the state in matters related (but not limited) to practice, code of conduct, insurance and billing, and necessary qualifications for competent behavior analysts.
- Develop a statewide social network for behavior analysts, to connect employers with employees, field practicum sites with graduate training programs, and research teams with clinical practice sites and participants.
- Host an annual convention that showcases scientific discoveries and clinical best practices at a rotating location throughout the state of Illinois.
Description of Membership
Membership will be of three classifications: Full—Ph.D. degree; Associate—BA, BS, MA, MS, or equivalent degree; Student—any degree-seeking individual.
Annual or Recurring Events
Annual convention—expected winter 2011 (and subsequent years), board meeting—to follow yearly convention, website update—monthly.
