Mission/Objectives
The Hawai'i Association for Behavior Analysis (HABA) is a professional organization dedicated to the practice, research, and dissemination of applied behavior analysis. HABA's mission is to expand behavioral knowledge, support service providers implementing behavioral interventions, and promote board certification in behavior analysis. HABA also sponsors an annual conference, workshops, and various trainings and professional development opportunities in behavior analysis.
Description of Membership
The majority are professionals who are either BCBAs, BCaBAs, or working toward certification. Most work for private agencies, and a few for either the Department of Education or Department of Health. In addition, several non-BCBAs within the school system are members.
Annual or Recurring Events
Annual HABA conference, quarterly board meetings.
April 12, 2012, quarterly board meeting with Thomas Caffrey—Mr. Caffrey will speak on applied behavior analysis from the perspective of parents.

We focus on expanding the knowledge of ABA in the larger community, and creating a place for behavior analysts to find friendship, networking, and help in order to impact the growth of ABA in Hawai'i.
