Presidential Scholar Contest
The purpose of this contest is to encourage student members to attend the Presidential Scholar Address. Interested students will send the Student Committee an essay describing important contributions of the scholar and how they relate to behavior analysis.
A mass e-mail describing this contest will be sent to all ABAI student members in December. The deadline for submissions will be March 1st.
The three members of the Student Committee will serve as judges for this contest. All members will read all the essays submitted and provide a score. Essays will be anonymous to avoid biases in rating.
Outstanding Mentor Awards
For a third time, Student Committee members elected winners of the Outstanding Mentor Award. These awards were presented at the Behavioral Bash during the 2008 conference in Chicago.
This is a great opportunity to publicly thank your mentor for their outstanding work. If you wish to nominate your mentor for this honor, please send a letter describing your experience with them and stating why you think this person deserves the award. Please direct your nominations to your program representative (http://www.abainternational.org/aba/Studentinfo/Programrep.asp). The deadline for nominations is April 1st. If your program does not have a program representative, please contact Erick Dubuque.
