Virginia ABA
By Dr. Sherry Serdikoff
The Virginia Association for Behavior Analysis (VABA) is an organization for people interested in behavior analysis and is primarily an interest group. VABA works to promote behavior analysis by:
- arranging an annual conference for the discussion of research and conceptual issues in behavior analysis -maintaining a Website containing information about the organization and about behavior analysis in Virginia and elsewhere.
- functioning as the Virginia contact for and representative of the Association for Behavior Analysis: International (ABA).
- promoting cooperation between behavior analytic organizations in other countries, regions, states and localities.
- On March 3, 2007 we held our 3rd annual conference. The invited addresses featured behavior analysts specializing in a wide range of areas: Karen Anderson, Tom Critchfield, Wendy Donlin, Melissa Shulleeta, Claire St. Peter Pipkin, and Jonathan Tarbox. Additionally, there was a poster session that featured primarily student research. We intend to hold our 4th annual conference in March of 2008. Please visit our Web site at www.v-aba.org.
