Mid-American ABA Student Paper Competition

By Dr. Jeffrey N. Weatherly

The organizers of this year’s MABA conference, to be held in Carbondale, IL from October 20 - 21, 2006, are pleased to reintroduce the MABA student paper competition. We are interested in soliciting outstanding student papers in the area of the experimental analysis of behavior or applied behavior analysis. Papers can be either empirical or theoretical in nature, but must be original. The winner of the paper competition will be scheduled as a speaker at the MABA conference, which arranges speakers on an invitation-only basis and has drawn some of the biggest names in the field in past years. The organizers of the conference are planning an edited book based on the works presented at the conference, so the winner of the paper competition can also expect the paper to be published. Interested students should submit papers to:

James E. Carr, Ph.D.
Associate Professor
Department of Psychology
Western Michigan University
1903 W. Michigan Ave.
Kalamazoo, MI 49008-5439
Deadline: September 15, 2006
