Dr. Caio Miguel
Dr. Caio Miguel is a board certified behavior analyst and an assistant professor in the Psychology Department at California State University, Sacramento . He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Dr. Miguel serves as the Senior Associate Editor for The Analysis of Verbal Behavior, and as an associate editor for The Journal of Speech and Language Pathology - Applied Behavior Analysis. He is also in the Board of Directors of the California Association for Behavior Analysis and The Behavior Analyst Online. He is a member of the editorial board of The International Journal of Behavioral Consultation and Therapy and serves as a guest reviewer for the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, Journal of Organizational Behavior Management, Experimental Analysis of Human Behavior Bulletin, The Psychological Record, Brazilian Journal of Behavior Analysis and Brazilian Journal of Behavior and Cognitive Therapy.
Prior to joining Sacramento State, Dr. Miguel worked as a clinician at The New England Center for Children and taught in the M.S. program in Applied Behavior Analysis at Northeastern University.
Dr. Miguel's research focuses on language acquisition, symbolic behavior, and the development of teaching strategies to promote spontaneous and generative language in children diagnosed with autism.
